The verb soler

E-mail Print PDF

The Spanish verb soler, followed by the infinitive, is used to indicate habitual actions. It is used in the present tense, and – very frequently – in the imperfect:

Los lunes solemos ir de compras.
On Mondays we usually go shopping.
Por entonces solíamos ir de pesca.
Around that time we used to go fishing.
